We know money can’t buy you happiness, but they can buy you a box (or a a few boxes) of donuts! That’s kind of the same thing, right? Thinking about donuts… are you drooling already? Well, we know how these cute, round and sugary fried doughs are sinful but delightful snacks you can enjoy at any time of the day.
What kind of donut person are you? The one who almost always only get the classic glazed ones, the ones who are in love with colourful sprinkles or the experimental ones who get all excited when you see fun flavours like peanut butter and bacon? Donut worry if you’re having a major donut crave, because we’ve found some of the best places in Singapore where you can get that donut fix. Be careful though, because you’re not gonna stop at just one.
Haritts Donuts & Coffee
The name Harrits Donuts & Coffee undoubtedly tells us that they specialise in donuts and coffee. That is pretty much one of the best food combination around, especially for breakfast! This Japanese donut chain is undoubtedly one of the best donut franchises ever. Their donuts taste so good that they are often already sold out by early afternoon in their Tokyo and Taiwan stores.
With a lot of the ingredients, including their flour, imported from Japan, you can expect the same food quality as their Japan store. For the matcha lovers, you’re going to fall deeply in love with their matcha donut. It’s a deep fried matcha dough with a smooth, white chocolate matcha filling. Also, we’d love a good chocolatey filled donut any time of the day. The chocolate donuts at Harrit’s are filled with intense and smooth dark chocolate that neutralises the sweet taste of the donut. We’d say it’s pretty much perfect. Don’t forget to get a cuppa Joe along with your donut!

Baker & Cook
Baker & Cook is hands down one of our favourite cafes and bakeries in town. With awesome cafe settings and quality artisanal food and coffee, you’ll never be disappointed! The cafe was first opened in 2012 by New Zealand pastry chef, Dean Brettschneider. They now have over 10 outlets all over Singapore. Remember to check them out!
Back to the topic of donuts, Baker & Cook has super yummy donuts that we can’t help to order one every time we visit. They have 5 donuts on their menu: the Chocolate Truffle Doughnut, Custard Bombolini, Ice Finger Bun, Jam Bombolini and Salted Caramel Doughnut. We’ve tried everything and trust us, they’re all nice. But if you are watching your diet and can only get just one, get the Salted Caramel Doughnut and thank us later.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme needs no special introduction because this Australian franchise is known for having the best Original Glazed donuts in the world. Yes, you’ve heard that right – in the world. We’ve tried them for ourselves, and definitely have to agree with that.
However, we have a few other personal favourites as well! Check out their New York Cheesecake, Resse’s Peanut Butter and Speculoos Cookie Butter donuts! These flavours complement the soft and fluffy fried dough so perfectly that we can’t help but have one or two as a sinful treat during the weekends.
Dolcetto by Basilico
This bakery and cafe located in Regent Hotel Singapore is a concept by the famous Italian restaurant, Basilico. Basilico serves really classic renditions of the traditional breads and pastries.
Of course, we have to give their donuts a special mention! The Bombolones are the must-try items! These classic Italian donuts comes filled with chocolate or custard – super classic flavours, but always the best! If you are that simple sugar donut kind of person, you have to order that as well!
