Silver Heights Winery, located on the eastern slopes of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, China, is a family-owned winery founded by Lin Gao and his daughter Emma Gao. Now run by Emma, a French-trained winemaker, and her husband Thierry Courtade, whom she met while studying oenology in Bordeaux, Silver Heights has earned a reputation for producing world-class wines. Nicolas Mariotti Bindi originally left Corsica to become a lawyer on the French mainland but felt drawn back to a life in the vines.  After stints working in Moulin-a-Vent and with Corsican legend Antoine Arena he founded his own winery in 2007 with the purchase of 7 hectares in Patrimonio. Frédéric Porro was an aspiring Motorcross rider until an accident left him in a wheelchair. This led him to a new passion - wine - after his sister asked him to put together the wine list for a restaurant. From that moment on, he became devoted to the grape.
