Nicolas Mariotti Bindi originally left Corsica to become a lawyer on the French mainland but felt drawn back to a life in the vines. After stints working in Moulin-a-Vent and with Corsican legend Antoine Arena he founded his own winery in 2007 with the purchase of 7 hectares in Patrimonio. The estate is now comprised of 15 hectares of largely head trained vines that are farmed organically. The Cantina di Torra rouge is drawn from a north facing plot of Niellucciu with vines ranging from 10-50 years old. The cuvee serves as an entry point to the winery’s offerings, intentionally made to be enjoyed young upon release.
