Ruadh Maor is the name given to the peated expressions distilled at Glenturret – and Càrn Mòr has bottled up this fantastic expression as part of its Strictly Limited range. Distilled in 2012, the whisky spent its time maturing in a refill sherry hogshead.
Nose: Oily smoke, earthy notes with cured meat, salted fried potatoes, and honeyed parsnips.
Palate: Sweet, barbecued, honey roasted ham with vegetal peat smoke.
Finish: Smoked paprika, waxed lemons, charred oak, and earthen peat.
