Was founded at the end of 70's in the DOC area of Bolgheri where the growing of Cabernet Sauvignon in this particular region gained great popularity. The first vintage produced was 1982 as a result of blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Sangiovese. The estate follows the criteria of organic farming, guaranteed and certified.
Profile:
Color: Crystal clear in color.
Aroma: The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas of prune, honey, vanilla, hazelnut, cherry jam.
Palate: In the mouth, it's plump, ripe, fruity. Full and round, with spicy notes, lingering finish.
What’s In It: Distilled, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Sangiovese
How It Was Made:
Grattamacco Grappa is born from the selection of very fresh pomace that has fermented in wooden vats and is slowly distilled with discontinuous bain-marie stills.
