932 is a 100% pure Carignano del Sulcis DOC Superiore that aims to enhance the work of an entire community, that of Calasetta, celebrating it with an elegant and harmonious wine that matures in French oak barrels. Born from a careful selection of Carignano grapes from grapes of free-standing bush vines grown on the island of Sant'Antioco.
Profile:
Color: Intense ruby red with slightly garnet reflections.
Bouquet: Intense, persistent and complex. Aromas of red fruit, aromatic herbs and distinct balsamic notes accompanied by sweet notes of vanilla.
Taste: Dry, broad, savoury, harmonious, intense, persistent, with considerable structure.
How It Was Made:
Production area: Calasetta, Sant"Antioco Island. Latin sapling vineyards over 50 years old, grown on sandy ungrafted soils (without American rootstock). Planting density 6,000 vines/ha, yield 30 q/ha, sub-hilly location, sub-arid climate.
Winemaking
Fermentation with maceration at a temperature of 28°C for approximately 15 days. Malolactic fermentation in cement tanks and subsequent refinement in first passage French oak barriques for 18 months. Further refinement in bottle for 6 months.
