| Susana Esteban was born in 1969, Tui, Spain. She graduated in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and Master of Viticulture and Enology at the University of La Rioja. He began his path as winemaker in 1999, Quinta do Côtto, having worked later as winemaker at Quinta do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. Has worked since the 2007 vintage as a consultant in the Alentejo different producers. During this journey, his work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. In 2012 he was awarded the most prestigious award one can receive winemaker in Portugal, the title "Winemaker of the Year" by Wine Magazine "Revista de Vinhos", has been to date the only woman who was awarded distinction is. At the end of 2009, Susana Esteban decided to initiate your personal project with the aim of making wines with a character different from traditional Alentejo and give life to two magnificent wines. |
