Steve Crawford knows how to handle Marsanne and Roussanne.
They are two varieties that love having some winemaking thrown at them. He allows this fruit, grown on a biodynamically farmed vineyard in Vine Vale, a week on skins before being pressed to barrel. While sleeping in the oak, Steve stirs the barrels regularly, continuously 'working' more creamy leesy characters into the palate. Honeysuckle shows its head, stonefruit and a soft powdery tannin structure and crisp acidity all combining into a generous, voluptuous golden white wine that speaks of the Barossa Valley and a caring winemaker.
