An opulent wine with raspberries, pomegranates and spice notes on a bed of powdery tannins, and a touch of chocolate on the finish.
WINEMAKERS COMMENTS
In contrast to the Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, the Tempranillo is an early ripener and has no problem reaching full maturity in the soils at Heathcote.
TASTING NOTE
Burgundy red. A complex nose of raspberries and spice with currants, red liquorice and hints of incense and musk. Raspberries, pomegranates and spice on the palate, and a touch of chocolate on the finish.
