American-made. Japanese whiskey-inspired. Wholly original. With its crisp malt, delicate maple charcoal smoke, and tropical, sherry-like notes imparted by house-made umeshu finishing casks, Baller is a category of one.
Profile:
Subtle maple charcoal smokiness with hints of tropical fruit and sherry-like undertones.
Nose: Plum leaps out of the glass. Malt forward with licorice and marzipan. Yum!
Taste: Semi-sweet arrival of cacao, followed by a second wave of plum with a flinty, smoky development.
Finish: Slightly ashy, but in a pleasant and interesting way. Sandalwood amidst the smoke and embers.
