Distilled in 2013, this version is the third installment in the saga dedicated to the Glenfarclas distillery, following the 2011 vintage (single cask #1173) from the Conquest of Origins collection and the 2012 vintage (single cask #2504) from the Antipodes catalog. A blend of power and smoothness, its particularly expansive aromatic and gustatory palette constantly gains in substance and complexity. To this, one must add a universal charm, a formidable invitation to travel back in time.

Colour: Copper orange. Nose: Rich, deep. Immediately, a magnificent rancio takes place, followed by a mix of notes of cherry eau-de-vie, apricot, mango, wax, leather, dark chocolate, pipe tobacco, gentian roots, toffee, etc. Palate: Both lively and full-bodied. Of great elegance, the taste palette combines flavors of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), noble spices (cardamom), heady flowers (lily, tuberose), candied citrus (orange, mandarin), precious wood (sandalwood, larch), dried fruits (walnut, chestnut, almond), and undergrowth (lichen). Finish: Long, silky. Full of freshness, the start of the finish invites you to savor a thyme infusion, pralines, and orange jam. Balsamic (pine, lime) and spicy (star anise, clove, saffron), the aftertaste is saline (fleur de sel), roasted (coffee), and herbaceous (tobacco).
