Bottled at 50% ABV with no chill filtration, it delivers a vibrant, floral, grain-forward Islay experience—light, lively, and full of summer character.
Profile:
Appearance: Pale gold, reminiscent of early summer barley or sunflower oil.
Nose: Barley sugar, honeyed malt, boiled sweets and orange blossom petals, Fresh wild flowers—primrose, daisy, buttercup—plus mint and faint sea spray.
Palate: Malt-forward flavors of porridge, malted biscuits, and ovaltine interwoven with green apple, pear and cinnamon.
Finish: Long and clean with toffee, honey, brown sugar and mild oak spice, finishing with lingering barley and sea breeze.
Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with smoked salmon, oysters, fresh scallops, creamy cheeses—or simply as a fresh, summertime dram.
How It Was Made:
Distillation: Trickle distilled using original Victorian pot stills at Bruichladdich distillery.
Maturation: Matured entirely in a mix of premium American oak casks (across ~76 different casks & up to 4 vintages per batch), stored by the sea on Islay.
Bottling: Non-chill filtered, no added colouring, and bottled at full 50% ABV using local spring water.
