A 27 year old Bruichaddich from the Isle of Islay, independently bottled by that Boutique-y Whisky Company! It's the 11th batch of Bruichladdich from the Boutique-y bunch, and thought some may consider it an unlucky number, that hasn't stopped it from being an incredible single malt Scotch whisky. Batch 13 is a release of 242 bottles.
Profile:
Nose: Earthy barley and woodsmoke blend well with vine peaches, thyme honey and sandalwood notes. Palate: Nutmeg, black pepper and cinnamon, with spiciness tempered by subtle almond pastry sweetness, apricot jam and salted caramel. Finish: Long and drying, with espresso and oily walnut.
