Tenuta San Giorgio in Montalcino (Siena) close by Castelnuovo dell'Abate and the Cistercian abbey of Sant' Antimo. The grapes grow at an average altitude of 350-450m above sea level on south west facing terrains. The soil is composed of clay loam sediments originating from a prehistoric salt lake-basin and is rich in calcium.
TASTING NOTES Color: Ruby red with garnet reflections. Aroma: Enticing fragrance of rose, violet, dark berry and underbrush. Palate: The firm palate delivers juicy wild cherry, cinnamon and star anise alongside firm but fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.
