Pierre Ferrand Collection Privee 1972 Cognac
Cognac (Vintage & Rare) from Cognac, France
The conditions in 1972 were perfect for producing a cognac capable of aging for decades. A mild spring, coupled with frosts in May and September, led to an unusually early blossoming. Additionally, a hot and dry August provided the grapes with the necessary acidity for a cognac that could mature over time. As a result, the 1972 vintage is quite rare. After being aged in traditional, humid cellars for many years, this cognac has now reached its optimal maturity, revealing aromas of candied fruits and apricots, with a rich, rounded profile and an exceptionally long finish.
A premier cru Cognac, distilled in 1972 and presented as part of their Collection Privee, comes in an elegant wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.
