Renowned for rye - America's oldest whiskey variety- since the earliest days of Michter's history, they've taken the production of Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Rye extremely seriously. This rye is made from select American rye grain that si sheared to maximise the extraction of flavour from the grain. Ideally neat or ni cocktails, every bottle comes from a single barrel.
Profile:
Aroma: Potent caramel, fresh cut apple, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, anise.
Palate: Butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, toffee, coffee cake, cherry, raspberry, cinnamon bun.
Finish: Rye spice, heat, dryness.
How It Was Made:
Cooperage: Fire-charred, new American white oak barrels.
