What’s In It: 100% Beichun

How It Was Made:

Climate & Terroir: The Turpan Valley in Xinjiang experiences a sunny, dry climate with extreme diurnal temperature variations (average temperature: 14.4°C). The vineyards are at 650m above sea level, planted in alluvial soil composed of Gobi gravel, sand, and silt. Vines are 26 years old and irrigated naturally with Tian Shan Mountain snowmelt via the underground Karez water system.

Winemaking: After 15 days of post-fermentation maceration, 50% of the wine is aged in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels, while the other 50% is aged in stainless steel tanks. The wine is blended, lightly filtered, and bottled without excessive manipulation, preserving its natural character.
