Desea is a pure Carignano del Sulcis DOC obtained from grapes from the hilly areas of lower Sulcis, near the sea. Born to enhance the characteristics of freshness and drinkability of this vine.
Profile:
Color: Intense ruby red.
Bouquet: Intense, delicate and fruity, with aromas of cherry and floral notes.
Taste: Soft, harmonious, with balanced tannins and good persistence.
Food Pairing: First courses based on meat sauces, roast meat, medium-aged cheeses.
What’s In It: 100% Carignano
How It Was Made:
Production area: hilly areas of lower Sulcis, in the south-western part of Sardinia. Calcareous-clayey soils, Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and limited rainfall, hot and breezy summers. Vineyards grown with counter-espalier and Guyot pruning, planting density of 5,000 vines/ha, average production of approximately 100 quintals/ha.
Winemaking
Fermentation with maceration at a temperature of 24-26°C for 8 days. Aging in steel and cement tanks. Short aging in bottle.
